Lots of new skills

DS has done a lot of new things in the past week, and I have been swamped at work (therefore little or no blogging) and I have barely been on the computer at home.
  • He put the lid on his shape container, instead of just taking it off and putting the parts in that way

  • With DH's help, he has learned to put the shapes in through the holes in the lid (the circle is the easiest, and the square is the hardest)

  • He ate, lamb, raisins, and unleaven bread last Thursday

  • He went to a baseball game yesterday and had fun removing my cap and either putting it back on my head or putting it on his own head

  • He stood alone for almost 3 seconds

  • While eating out at a restaurant, he torn his bread into tiny pieces and put them back on his plate -- we finally figured out that he was copying what we do with his bread!

  • He definitely says, "Hi" appropriately (and he waves by sticking his arm up in the air with his hand open)

  • He ate a club cracker by "biting" off appropriate sized pieces instead of trying to stuff the whole thing in his mouth

That's about all I can remember right now. He has made some wonderful advances in the past couple of weeks! He may take his first unassisted steps before his birthday later this week, but I won't be surprised if he doesn't. His DCP thinks that he is teething and that his "eye teeth" are going to be the first ones to come through.
